We dove into Chris Alston's Chassisworks new drag race front clip

We had a chance to install one of Chassisworks new drag race oriented tubular strut front ends and wrote a feature on it.
"At first glance, Chassisworks’ new drag race clip is a solid front clip replacement that reduces weight and looks awesome doing it. Upon further examination, we found so much more. In addition to weight reduction, the people at Chassisworks worked hard to eliminate all the shortcomings of the OE front clip. They increased undercarriage clearance to allow for easy oil pan removal. They also increased front end safety and stability by improving suspension geometry."

Story: Ring Decisions in a High Performance Boosted Environment

"Our final ring package consisted of Total Seal’s C33 stainless steel top ring in a .017-inch Dykes configuration ... the second ring was a ductile iron Napier-style .043-inch with a .140-inch radial thickness. Finally we went with a fairly standard 22 pound, 3/16-inch conventional oil ring."

Our new top end package from Mast, Comp, Ferrea T&D and others [Story]

"With the help of an all-star lineup like Pettis Performance, Mast Motorsports, Comp, LME, T&D and Ferrea, this build has started out with a real bang. As we get closer to completing this build, all of the components these companies helped us choose will dictate the components list going forward. From the rear gear ratio to the type of block, our decisions will continue to hinge around our ultimate induction package as we continue our quest for radial 275 competition."

Provolute testing for Steve Morris

Some time ago we ran some Provulute testing for Steve Morris. Fromm Dragzine:
'West Coast 275 racer DJ Reid has tested the ProVolute F-2 modifications in back-to-back passes on his ProCharged Camaro. The passes were made on the same day, within one hour of each other, and nothing was changed other than installing the ProVolute system.
“We ran pass one, removed the stock volute and then installed the Morris volute. We then ran pass two. We saw a 2-3 psi boost increase and a 10-15 degree temperature decrease across the board. Performance wise, we dropped from 5.17 to 5.03 and gained 2 mph,” says Reid.'
Super cool!

What do we think about Holley's new EFI?

The folks at Holley and Power Automedia wanted to know what we thought about Holley's new EFI Dominator system. Needless to say, we love it.
